THIS REDEVELOPMENT SHOULD INCLUDE THE INSTALLATION OF CURBS AND GUTTERS, SIDEWALKS AND IMPROVE PARKING ACCESS TO THE CHALK AND POLIT PARK, ENHANCING THIS INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE IN THIS AREA WILL BENEFIT OUR COMMUNITY AND THE VISITORS OF OUR PARK. FLOODING AND MITIGATION. FLOOD MITIGATION. FLOODING IS A SIGNIFICANT CONCERN IN OUR AREA, PARTICULARLY ON THE STREETS AND UNDERPASSES. WE REQUEST FUNDING FOR UPGRADING PUMP AND LIFT STATIONS INCORPORATING SOLAR POWER FACILITIES TO ENSURE OPERATING DURING BLACKOUTS AND TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS. FURTHERMORE WE RECOMMEND INSTALLING PERMANENT BARRICADES AT THE UNDERPASS TO PROTECT THE PUBLIC DURING FLASH FLOODINGS, THEREBY ENSURING THEIR SAFETY, PEDESTRIAN AND VEHICULAR ACCESS. UM NEIGHBORS INCLUDE UH STREET REPAIRS, STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS AND UPGRADES TO SEWER CONTAINMENT TO ELIMINATE STREET FLOODING AND SO OUR OVERFLOW BY ADDRESSING THESE ISSUES, WE CAN CREATE A SAFER MORE. THAT'S JUST THE RECORDED TIME AND, UM, THAT'S POSTED SO ON SO ON AVERAGE, WE COULD HAVE ESSENTIALLY A LONGER MEDIA IF YOU TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THE TIME WE TAKE FOR BREAKS AND EXECUTIVE SESSIONS. IT'S SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED AND SET UP THE CAMERA AND LIGHTING AND MAYBE WHEN WE HAVE MEETINGS OFF SITE WE DO NEED TO RENT ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT SUCH AS MIKE'S IN AUDIO SYSTEMS IN ORDER TO ACCOMMODATE THOSE NEEDS, UM, AND THAT'S WHAT IT COSTS ABOUT $1600 PER MEETING. WE HAVE THE ABILITY TO VIDEO MEETING IN THE HOUSE. I'M STILL LEARNING, BUT I WILL SAY THAT EVERYBODY ON COUNCIL AND THE STAFF DO A GREAT JOB OF HELPING ME NAVIGATE THESE WATERS, AND I'M GRATEFUL ABOUT HOW HELPFUL EVERYBODY IS. SO ALSO I KNOW ON THAT THE MAGNOLIA POOL BEING UP HERE WHEN THAT INFORMATION CAME DOWN, AND IT IS THE TIMING WAS TERRIBLE AND EVERYTHING ELSE I CAN ASSURE YOU OUR CITY MANAGER WAS IS UPSET AS EVERYBODY ELSE THAT THIS HAPPENED IN THAT TIMING. IT WAS THE WORST POSSIBLE TIMING. AND I THINK HE IS LOOKED AND YOU KNOW , I KNOW COMING FROM THE BUSINESS WORLD HAVING A BUSINESS , UH, MISTAKES GET MADE OR PROCESSES AREN'T PERFECT. AND WHEN THINGS LIKE THIS SHOW UP, YOU COME UP WITH OTHER WAYS TO PREVENT IT FROM OCCURRING IN THE FUTURE. AND I THINK THAT IS CERTAINLY BEEN LOOKED AT. I DON'T WANT TO SPEAK ON HIS BEHALF, BUT I'VE GOTTEN TO HAVE SEVERAL CONVERSATIONS WITH HIM ABOUT IT. AND IT IS. IT IS FRUSTRATING BECAUSE WE UNDERSTAND OUR DISAPPOINTS OUR COMMUNITY THAT WE SERVE, AND THAT IS NOT THE DESIRE AT ALL, AND WE WANT TO CONTINUE TO STRIVE TO BE BETTER. AND I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL BE BETTER.

I KNOW ALSO WITH THE HOMELESSNESS, I GET A LOT OF CALLS ON THAT STEEL AND CERTAINLY EVERYBODY IS CONCERNED IN THE CITY HAS TAKEN ADDITIONAL STEPS AND THERE ARE COOLING STATIONS ACROSS THE CITY. BUT OFTENTIMES PEOPLE DON'T SEE AH, THE HOMELESS USING THOSE AND THAT IS BY THEIR CHOICE, AND SOMETIMES IT MAY NOT BE THAT THEY HAVE ALL THE INFORMATION.

BUT WE GET THE INFORMATION OUT AS BEST WERE ABLE TO THROUGH THE SOURCES THAT WE HAVE TO DO THAT AND I WILL SAY THAT IT IS STILL VERY MUCH ON THE CITY COUNCIL'S MINE, AND WE ARE CONTINUING TO LOOK AT THE OPTIONS ON WE ARE NOT. IT IS NOT STALLED. WE UNDERSTAND WE HAVE A HOMELESS PROBLEM HERE IN THIS COMMUNITY, AND WE ARE LOOKING AT OPTIONS IN ORDER TO HELP OUR COMMUNITY ACROSS ALL COMMUNITIES TO BETTER BETTER TAKE CARE OF THAT CERTAINLY APPRECIATE THE PRESENTATION TONIGHT ON THE EVENING MEETINGS AND THE AMOUNT OF WORK THAT WAS PUT INTO THAT.

THE VOTERS HERE IN BEAUMONT GET TO MAKE THAT DECISION AND I JUST WANT TO SAY TO THAT FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT GO TO CHURCH. YOU WILL SEE MYSELF AND DR ALAN AND I THINK OUR CITY MANAGER AND CERTAINLY ANY OF THE COUNCIL PEOPLE THAT WOULD LIKE TO WE'RE GOING TO BE MAKING GOING TO CHURCHES TO REMIND PEOPLE HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO BE INVOLVED IN OUR MUNITY. WE DO HAVE CHALLENGES IN THIS COMMUNITY AND THAT EXIST IN OTHER COMMUNITIES AS WELL.

THEY'RE NOT. THEY'RE NOT JUST BEAUMONT ISSUES, BUT THE ISSUES THAT ARE IN BEAUMONT OR ALL OF OUR ISSUES, AND AS A COMMUNITY, WE NEED TO TEND TO THEM TOGETHER , SO WE'RE GOING TO HELP AND BITE PEOPLE FOR THOSE THAT MAY MISS COUNCIL MEETINGS AND OR OTHER PLACES. I'M GOING TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO PLEASE VOLUNTEER BECAUSE OUR YOUTH IS OUR FUTURE AND THAT WHEN WE WANT TO SEE A DIFFERENT RESULT AND CHANGE, WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO BE A PART OF THAT CHANGE
